Yee Fung

Hi there!  I’m Yee, a dedicated, versatile front-end developer.

I have been wanting to be a programmer since I was relatively young.  I started off wondering how programs got onto my dad’s 1st mac in the 90’s, to progressing into coding fun hobby sites on yahoo geocities website builder using simple HTML and css, to working on a capstone project assisting parents in prepping information of their child for AmberAlerts on Adobe Flex, then to now working on complicated web applications using multiple languages and frameworks.

I have been a developer for about 12+ years now, 5 of that was being full-stack, and the rest front-end.  Throughout the years I have specialized in WordPress development, but have expanded towards other Frameworks and Languages.  I enjoy solving and developing complicated applications.  After working in a fast pace environment for a while it has taught me how to learn on the go and to not hesitate to ask questions.  It has also taught me that collaboration and communication between your team is extremely crucial.

Being a lead developer for the last 5 years has taught me that I may not know everything, but I can rely on learning from my team and that collaboration is extremely essential for growth, not just for myself, but for everyone on the team.  Making your team feel heard and knowing that you are doing your best to also assist in driving them forward is what a lead is meant to do.
